Course Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be able to read, speak, write and understand the English language.
  • Hold at least a private pilot certificate.
  • 2nd Class Medical.

The minimum training requirements to obtain a Commercial Pilot’s License are as follows:

  • 150 hours minimum of flight time which is made up of:
    • 100 hours of Powered Aircraft.
    • 100 hours of Pilot-in-Command.
  • The Pilot-in-Command must be made up of:
    • 35 Hours in a helicopter.
    • 10 Hours of Cross-Country in a helicopter.
    • 20 Hours of Commercial Flight Training.
    • 10 Hours of Instrument training in an aircraft (helicopter of otherwise).
    • 3 Hours in a helicopter in preparation for the practical test within 60-day period preceding the test.
